Making Umbrellas

Winter is winding down and spring is on it’s way.
To celebrate this upcoming season, we decided to make these fun umbrellas.
Supplies Needed:
Paper plate
Tape
Paint
Cotton Balls
Black Construction Paper
I cut a paper plate in half and gave one half to each girl.
I let each girl pick out a couple of colors of paint, then they went to work. I gave them cotton balls to paint with instead of paint brushes.
AJ (age 2) dabbed her paint while Lizzie (age 4) decided to smear hers.
I used the black construction paper to cut out the handles and when the paint was dry, we attached it it the back of the umbrellas with tape.
We then hung them up in the window to remind us that the snow was going away and rain would come with the changing season.
